Ice Away De-Icer
An oil-free, water-cooled submersible de-icer with a patented diffuser cone that moves more water — drawing warmer water up from below to keep docks, boats, and shorelines free of damaging ice all winter. Available in 1/2 HP and 1 HP models, starting at $895.
A 3,450 RPM motor lifts up to 500 gallons of water per minute, continuously drawing warmer water to the surface.
The motor mount/diffuser redirects water flow outward, creating a larger coverage area than many competing de-icers.

Should I choose the 1/2 HP or 1 HP model?

Do I need the prop guard?
It's optional, but recommended if your water has a lot of debris or trash, since it helps protect the propeller from damage.
How deep does the water need to be?
It works best in 3-6 ft of water, typically suspended 5-8 ft deep, though it can be adjusted to work shallower or deeper as needed.
Does it use oil like other de-icers?
No — it uses an oil-free, water-cooled motor with no seals or bearings to fail, so there's no risk of oil contaminating your water.
