Our most powerful subsurface aerator — four diffusers and a 3/4 HP rocking-piston compressor for ponds up to about 4 acres, complete with 400 ft of weighted tubing and ready to install.
This style of aerator uses four diffuser modules that sit at the bottom of the pond, connected by weighted tubing to an onshore air compressor. The compressor pumps air through the weighted airline to the diffusers, where it's broken into thousands of fine bubbles. As the bubbles rise, they lift low-oxygen water from the bottom to the surface, where it's replenished with oxygen from the atmosphere.
In cold climates, the constant water movement from the Bubble Pro Max XL also helps keep an area of the pond surface from freezing over, making it a simple two-season solution.

Unlike the smaller Bubble Pro sizes, the Max XL's compressor requires the larger Deluxe Lockable Steel Cabinet rather than the standard weatherproof cabinet — that's the only cabinet option available for this model.

How big of a pond can the Bubble Pro Max XL handle?
Up to about 4 acres, depending on depth — roughly 1 acre at 5-8 ft deep, 2 acres at 9-12 ft, and up to 4 acres at 13-16 ft. For smaller ponds, see the Bubble Pro Max, Bubble Pro, or Bubble Pro Mini.
Does it come with tubing?
Yes — 400 ft of 3/8" Quick Sink weighted tubing and four diffusers are included, so there's nothing extra to buy before you install it.
Can I use it in the winter?
Yes, the constant water movement also works as a pond de-icer in cold climates.
What cabinet options are available?
Just one: the Deluxe Lockable Steel Cabinet, sized for the Max XL's larger 3/4 HP compressor. The compressor can also be left uncovered if you already have weather protection in place.
