Each battery backup system is housed in a durable, lightweight powder-coated aluminum cabinet with a tamper-proof, integrated locking lid for security. A cooling fan provides maximum volumetric air exchange, and an elevated base protects against flood water. Backed by a 10-year warranty.
High-efficiency membrane diffusers release fine oxygen bubbles into the water column for maximum oxygen uptake. A 2-port manifold with nickel-plated ball valves and integrated pressure gauge and relief valve simplifies airflow management. Set up for 5/8" airline. Backed by a 5-year warranty.
How is this different from the standard SolarSeries Direct Drive system?
The Direct Drive system only runs while the sun is shining. This Battery Backup system stores solar energy during the day so it can keep aerating through the night — up to 24 hours of operation.
Will it still work in winter or on cloudy days?

Should I choose 2 or 4 diffusers?
The 2-diffuser configuration covers ponds up to 2 acres. The 4-diffuser configuration is better suited to larger or irregularly shaped ponds. Call us if you're unsure and we'll help you size it.
What's covered under warranty?
Batteries are covered for 1 year, the compressor and electrical components for 3 years, diffusers and airline for 5 years, the cabinet for 10 years, and solar panels for a limited 25 years.
