Its propeller-driven design moves far more water than a standard fountain pump, creating a strong surface current that oxygenates the water and eliminates algae and debris — ideal for large residential, commercial, and municipal properties.
Like every Scott Aerator product, the North Star requires no time-consuming, costly winterizing. Simply leave it in the water, turn off the power for winter, and restore power once the ice thaws in spring — every component withstands sub-zero temperatures without damage.

Which HP size do I need?
Options range from 1 HP up to 3 HP, all suited to ponds 1/8 acre or larger — the higher HP options simply move more water for stronger aeration on bigger ponds. Call us and we'll help you size it correctly.
Are anchor weights included?
No — two anchor weights (40-50 lbs each depending on HP) and two nylon mooring ropes are required but not included.
Can this be used in salt water?
Yes — the North Star is approved for use in salt water installations.
Do I need to winterize this fountain?
No — simply shut it off and leave it in the water through winter. All components withstand sub-zero temperatures without damage.
Can I add lighting?
Yes — choose white or color-changing LED lights, added at purchase or anytime later.
