The original "Muck Buster" — a compact 2 HP pond vacuum that pulls algae, sludge, dead plants, leaves and even small pebbles off the bottom, then drains itself automatically.
The Pond Vacuum II uses a single-chamber, auto fill-and-drain design. It vacuums debris and water into the 5.3-gallon tank for roughly 30 seconds until an internal float shuts the motor off. The tank then drains by gravity through the discharge hose in about 25 seconds, and the motor restarts on its own to keep vacuuming. The sludge bag traps leaves and coarse debris, and the nutrient-rich drain water is great for watering garden beds.
Its German-built 2 HP motor delivers a suction lift of 5 ft above the water, making it a strong fit for smaller ponds and spot cleanups. For safety, set the vacuum at least 6.5 ft back from the pond edge.

Why does the vacuum keep shutting off?
That's normal. When the tank fills, an internal float turns the motor off so the tank can drain. It restarts automatically once empty — roughly 30 seconds on, 25 seconds off.
What size pond is this best for?
The Pond Vacuum II is ideal for smaller ponds up to about 2,000 gallons. For bigger ponds, the II Plus (6.6 gal), Pro (9.5 gal) or the continuous Power-Cyclone will save a lot of time.
Can I send the water back into my pond?
No — drain it to your lawn, garden beds, or a drain. Many owners use vacuuming as their regular partial water change.
Will it pick up gravel?
It can lift small pebbles up to about 3/8 in. along with algae, sludge, and leaves. Larger rock should be removed by hand.
