Matala Power-Cyclone Pond Vacuum
A contractor-grade pond vacuum with two motors running at once — one pulls muck in while the other pumps dirty water out — for up to 1,500 GPH of continuous cleaning with no stop-and-drain cycles.
Most pond vacuums run in cycles: they suck until the tank fills, shut off, drain, then start again. The Power-Cyclone eliminates the waiting. Its suction motor pulls up to 1,500 gallons per hour into the 13.2-gallon tank, where a pre-filter bag catches leaves and large solids. At the same time, an internal 1 HP sludge pump pushes the dirty water out under pressure. The two motors are balanced in flow rate, so the job keeps going without interruption.
The pressurized discharge can lift waste water up to 18 feet in elevation through the included 32 ft exhaust hose — send it to a garden bed, a drain, or up and over a slope. Combined with the 26 ft suction hose and 6 ft of extension pipe, total working distance is over 60 feet. Note: do not return the dirty water to the pond.

How is this different from the other Matala vacuums?
The Pond Vacuum II, II Plus and Pro fill their tank, shut off, and drain by gravity before restarting. The Power-Cyclone has a second motor that pumps water out while it vacuums, so it runs continuously — much faster on large ponds.
Can I send the water back into my pond?
No — the discharge water is full of fine sludge. Route it to a garden bed, lawn, or drain instead. Your plants will appreciate the nutrients.
